Monitoring the immune response to viral infection
During viral pandemics, next-generation sequencing (NGS) can be a valuable tool to help researchers and clinicians understand immune response to infection and treatments. We offer a variety of RNA-sequencing kits for unmatched sensitivity and reproducibility for all of your demanding sequencing applications, including COVID-19 research.
To understand host response when a virus enters the body and later when a treatment is administered, it is important to understand how the transcriptional profiling of a host cell changes. For SARS-CoV-2, in particular, it will be important to see how the B cells and T cells are affected to understand what is going on with the immune system. Several questions remain to be answered, such as: are there changes in the clonotype numbers? What clonotypes are present? What effect does the infection have on the diversity of these clonotypes? When treatment is administered, how does the clonotype diversity change? Our human BCR and TCR kits enable you to answer these and other questions and help ensure we can respond properly now and are prepared for the future.
