Clontech Laboratories, Inc. is now Takara Bio USA, Inc.
Mountain View, CA—July 1, 2016—We are excited to announce that we recently changed our company name to Takara Bio USA, Inc. We are a proud member of the Takara Bio Group and our new name reflects our place in the worldwide Takara Bio family. We will continue to use the Clontech name in our Clontech brand products, just as we continue our commitment to understanding and meeting the quality needs of all our customers. Our product portfolio also includes Takara brand products, with a long history of excellence in PCR enzymes, and Cellartis brand products, providing innovation in stem cell reagents and services. We would like to inform you that we have recently changed our business name from Clontech Laboratories, Inc. to Takara Bio USA, Inc. By the name change, we are recognizing the fact that we have been a wholly owned subsidiary of Takara Bio, Inc. for more than ten years.
Please be advised that there is no change in management or place of business, and that we will continue to provide the same quality of products and services under the Clontech®, Takara™, and Cellartis® brands. You may notice that over the next several months, our packaging and documents will change so that there is a consistent format and packaging across these brands.
Effective immediately, please use Takara Bio USA, Inc. in all of your correspondence with us. When sending email, please continue to use "clontech.com" as our domain name. We will transition to "takarabio.com" by the end of 2016.
