PrimeScript IV 1st strand cDNA Synthesis Mix

PrimeScript IV 1st strand cDNA Synthesis Mix contains a 5X premix for synthesizing first-strand cDNA from total RNA or poly A+ RNA. A cDNA synthesis reaction can be started simply by adding template RNA and water to the premix, which already contains PrimeScript IV Reverse Transcriptase, RNase Inhibitor, Oligo dT Primer, dNTP Mixture, and reaction buffer. The premix also contains an accessory protein that eliminates the need for RNA denaturation, which is commonly performed before reverse transcription.

PrimeScript IV RT can synthesize cDNA more rapidly than conventional enzymes because it is more heat-resistant. This allows reverse transcription to be performed at a higher temperature, increasing the efficiency and specificity of cDNA synthesis using gene-specific primers.

The first-strand cDNA synthesized with this product is suitable for applications involving synthesis of high-quality, full-length cDNA, such as double-stranded cDNA synthesis, hybridization, PCR amplification, preparation of a full-length cDNA library, etc. In addition, using the random 6mers included in the kit makes it possible to synthesize cDNA from RNA without poly A+ and to generate cDNA suitable for gene expression analysis by real-time PCR.
