ICELL8 chips and consumables

ICELL8 consumables

We offer a variety of accessories, plasticware, and other consumables for the ICELL8 Single-Cell System: plates, chips, chip loading and collection kits, etc. Use these consumables together with our validated ICELL8 workflows or your own custom workflows to generate NGS libraries for your single-cell applications.

We offer a variety of accessories, plasticware, and other consumables for the ICELL8 Single-Cell System: plates, chips, chip loading and collection kits, etc. Use these consumables together with our validated ICELL8 workflows or your own custom workflows to generate NGS libraries for your single-cell applications.

As part of the open design of the platform, we offer a variety of blank chips containing no preprinted oligos for the development of custom applications. Blank chips can also be used to test cell dispensing and imaging using the ICELL8 system. Various depth options are available to accommodate different reaction volumes. In the chip name, the number denotes the volume of the nanowells while the letter designation following the number indicates the shape of the well. (See table titled "Formats of available ICELL8 blank chips" under More Information.)

The following products are required for processing ICELL8 chips. Please consult the workflow user manuals to determine which kit is appropriate for your application.

  • The ICELL8 Loading Kit contains films and blotting paper designed to be used in the processing of ICELL8 chips
  • The ICELL8 Loading Kit – B contains blotting paper, optical film, and sealing film to be used for processing ICELL8 chips in workflows with multiple incubation steps
  • The ICELL8 Collection Kit contains a fixture to hold the chip, tubes, and film to allow users to spin down and collect the contents of a processed ICELL8 chip (e.g., extracted cDNA) into a tube for experiments where the total extraction volume is less than 0.5 ml

The Single-Cell 350v Chip is a 350 nl volume, V-bottom chip that enables users to dispense and image cells using the Shasta or ICELL8 cx systems. All wells in the 5,184-nanowell chip are unprinted and have a maximum working volume of 350 nl and a depth of 2.200 mm. The Single-Cell 350v Chip can be used to dispense cells as detailed in the Shasta Total RNA-Seq, Shasta WGA, or SMART-Seq Pro Application protocols, or low-input DNA/RNA solution when developing your own NGS assays for the systems.

The Blotting Paper is used to blot chips after dispensing of cells into a chip by the ICELL8 MultiSample NanoDispenser (MSND). The Optical Imaging Film is used to seal chips prior to imaging of the nanonwells with the ICELL8 Imaging System. The TE Sealing Film is used to seal the chip after reagents have been dispensed into cells selected for processing for reverse transcription.
