Living Colors AmCyan1 is a bright cyan fluorescent protein that was isolated from the coral reef organism Anemonia majano and is far brighter than ECFP. Cyan fluorescent proteins such as AmCyan1 are ideal for simultaneous detection of two or more events in the same cell or cell population because their excitation and emission spectra are distinct from other fluorescent proteins. The AmCyan1 fluorescent protein sequence has been optimized for translation in mammalian cells, high solubility, and bright emission.

This lentiviral expression vector encodes an AmCyan1 fluorescent protein tag. The protein is a human codon-optimized variant of the Anemonia majano cyan fluorescent protein engineered for increased brightness and higher expression in mammalian cells. Inserting a cDNA in the MCS upstream of the AmCyan1 coding sequence joins your protein of interest to the N-terminus of AmCyan1, and allows it to be tracked and studied in transduced cells. To package the vector into high-titer, replication-incompetent lentivirus, we recommend using Lenti-X Packaging Single Shots (Cat. Nos. 631275-631278) and the Lenti-X 293T Cell Line (Cat. pAmCyan is a prokaryotic expression vector, which encodes Anemonia majano cyan fluorescent protein (AmCyan). The AmCyan coding sequence carried in pAmCyan retains the wild-type codon usage. In this vector, the mCyan gene is flanked by separate and distinct MCS regions at the 5' and 3' ends so that the AmCyan gene can be subcloned into other expression vectors.
