TaKaRa Ex Premier DNA Polymerase

High-yield PCR

TaKaRa Ex Premier DNA Polymerase is a novel PCR polymerase derived from Thermococcus sp. The enzyme and buffers in this premix have been optimized to improve the PCR success rate for GC- or AT-rich sequences, long targets, and crude samples that are difficult to amplify with general PCR reagents. Furthermore, it has the high-fidelity of an α-type DNA polymerase and can be used for cloning.

This 2X premix contains all the components necessary for PCR (enzyme, buffer, dNTP mix, etc.) and does not freeze at –20°C, making the setup quick and easy. Simply add your primers and templates and run the PCR. The polymerase included is a hot-start polymerase that uses a monoclonal antibody to prevent non-specific amplification due to mispriming or the presence of primer-dimers.

More Information

PCR products

PCR products amplified with Takara Ex Premier DNA Polymerase have blunt end termini. To clone amplified products into T-vectors (TA cloning), dA addition to the 3' end is needed.
