Our recordings feature the following researchers and topics:
Andrew Adey, PhD—Oregon Health & Science University
Presentation: Advances in combinatorial indexing
Bio: Dr. Adey is an Associate Professor of Molecular & Medical Genetics at OHSU and Principal Investigator of OHSU's Adey Lab. His lab is currently applying high-throughput single-cell techniques such as combinatorial indexing to efficiently study neurodevelopment and cancer biology.
Kami Ahmad, PhD—Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center
Presentation: Single-cell chromatin profiling of leukemias
Bio: Dr. Ahmad is a Principal Investigator at the Henikoff Lab, part of the interdisciplinary team at FHCRC. His lab's research focuses on improving the understanding of inheritance beyond DNA sequence by applying genomic tools to the study of proteins of the epigenome: histones, transcription factors, nucleosome remodelers, and RNA polymerase II (RNAPII). Dr. Ahmad has been a pioneer for techniques such as CUT&Tag.
Yanli Liu, PhD—Takara Bio USA, Inc.
Presentation: Pushing the sensitivity limit of single-cell RNA-seq
Bio: Dr. Liu is an R&D Senior Group Leader at Takara Bio USA. Her group focuses on developing and enhancing single cell molecular biology assays for Takara Bio's automation platforms. She is an experienced technical leader in product development and has led several lab studies to success.
